So as it’s Howe.

Who is in the yes team and happy.

Who is in the no team and it’s underwhelming.

And who is in the middle.
Yes team for me. He went through the leagues with a club that got 6-7k gates and wasn't much bigger than Hartlepool. Is that a bad example to use? Bournemouth certainly were a league one or two side, though they had a three seasons in the championship before he took charge. He took a small club, in a low-interest football area and got them a decent top flight run.
Attacking football, excellent coaching plaudits from those at Bournemouth, but a similar defensive focus as our old boss ... Plus he's English, knows the league and supposedly has good man-management skills. With 545 management games already in English football, he comes with experience. I've obviously got faith that his skills will continue to blossom with us.

It's an exciting move for me - not rubber stamped so I hope it comes off!

I'm definitely in the Yes camp.

He can do the job we need him to - help us avoid relegation and motivate the squad. He proved that at Bournemouth.

He may also have the talent to take us further. He certainly has the desire. But the most important thing is that he's capable of steadying the ship and getting us back on course. This is a long project, but I think 99% of fans will be happy just seeing progress, however slow, in contrast to the long decline of the Ashley years.

Yes, for me.

Wouldn't have been my first choice but he is a big upgrade from Bruce. He also has experience at the bottom end of the table. He will more than likely be the first of a few on our way to world domination.

His previous team played football and until one hiccup was/is an up and coming English Manager. And we are all entitled to hiccup.

Not sure what the delay is. Romano said this morning that the club was sorting paperwork and contracts out. Nothing was signed as of this morning.

I'd rather have Howe than that boring f@cker Rafa.

100%

This is the single biggest reason I'm in the yes team. Not having to watch stop the oppo football for the first time in quite a few years (albeit Bruce tried to attack at times last season). I'm just ready to watch football again and I think Howe at least tries to do it right. How good he is? I have no idea. He clearly did an exceptional job at Bournemouth, only a moron with a lack of football knowledge would suggest otherwise. But with all due respect to Bournemouth, I think with the fanbase here expectations are somewhat different.

Personally any manager would have had my support (even Rafa), I just think as supporters that is a minimum requirement. I wonder sometimes who people think the **** they are. Our job is to support the team, not individuals anyway. Yes we pay our money so are entitled to an opinion, but first and foremost as supporters I reckon we are duty bound to support the people representing us. Otherwise why watch or go to matches? What is your objective? So Howe gets my full support and hopefully he can do a good job.

In all honesty I do think its very much a stop gap appointment. Obviously if he builds momentum I'm sure they will give him time. But I think his time here will be limited. Funnily enough if we scrape by staying up, I could see him getting the bullet, whereas if we went down I think he'd stay. Which sounds nonsense but I think the summer coming will be seen as a watershed moment if we are still in the division.
