Tbf that's an irrelevance, he's first in terms of being offered and wanting the job. It's like me saying where was my wife on a list of women I wanted to be in bed with every night.
Anyway I think he's dealt with
You're welcome lads

A lot of people are assuming that Howe was a long way down the list of candidates, he certainly wasn't.
We have it on good authority that Newcastle is closer to Bournemouth than Burnley. That's a well known fact.Hope Howe doesn't feel that Newcastle is too far north compared to Burnley
He certainly was. Emery, Favre, Fonseca, Conte, Zidane, Rafa, Mourinho, Gerrard, Lampard, Rangnick, Martinez were all approached.
It was only after the vast majority of them turned the approach down that they turned to Howe.
If your wife isn't 1st on that list ,then that's on you.
T.I disagree. Howe was approached at the same time as the ones you've mentioned. Yes, some turned us down and some we didn't offer to.
Ahh using the old Rob Lee theoryWe have it on good authority that Newcastle is closer to Bournemouth than Burnley. That's a well known fact.
So as it’s Howe.
Who is in the yes team and happy.
Who is in the no team and it’s underwhelming.
And who is in the middle.
If you think Ashley would appoint Howe then your well beyond delusional.Don't know what the point is.
I've been a very vocal critic of appointing Howe. He's more or less an Ashley signing. But then again, you have to be objective and say who is available and interested who has the following traits:
- PL experience
- Great coaching
- Squad knowledge
- Attacking intentions
- Somewhat available
You're limited to Conte, Emery, Howe. Rafa's not attacking, Martinez wants to keep the Belgium job, nobody else has PL experience and is available.
Then we add he interviewed very well - if you watch any of Howe's clips, he comes across VERY well and football people say he's a top guy, a really solid appointment. Is he worse than Mark Hughes during the first 18 months of Mansour's ownership? No. If it's a disaster, they'll make a change. Then you reflect on where Howe was in 2018, lauded as the next big thing, an English manager to give the continent something to think about. He's endorsed by Potter, I'll take that right now.
I would say "judge him on results", but actually we're so ingrained with **** results I think most Newcastle fans would actually say "judge him on performances, and whether he uses pathetic cliches in front of the media".
I'm in the yes team, I think he's a good manager and has clearly thought about how to get this squad playing some football.
He wanted the job, he wanted the challenge and he's a young hungry manager. That's all I wanted, irrespective of a new ownership.
Excited for the games.
This. I want someone who wants to work for us.

I'm in the middle. I think he's massively overrated because he's British.
I think he's nothing more than a stop gap and I hope we can avoid relegation.
As I said before I think he's a sidestep.
