"Emery is a decent manager. People forget the good he did at Arsenal (21 games unbeaten at one point). In my opinion he’s a great manager for where you guys are atm. Think of him as a transition manager. You’re not going to win the Premier League or Champions League with him, but he’ll put some great groundwork in and bring in some pretty decent players. I wouldn’t say his football is massively attractive but it’ll get results for sure. The problem with Emery at Arsenal is that he was always in the shadow or Wenger and had quite a bit of baggage. We don’t have a massive amount to spend on players at Arsenal so getting rid of the deadwood was quite hard."
