Fonseca now 4/9 with PP. Get in there. I hear you on Keane, but I think that was a different situation. Managers don't get to these odds without something happening.

This is a better indicator of who is getting the job.
Over half the money traded on the market is on Paulo.
Favre £388 and Howe £640.

Price coming in. 5/6 as I type although the last price matched was evens.

I am liking the Fonseca link. He has managed some good teams and his ideal formation will suit our players which is 3-4-3 which is a slightly higher lined 3-5-2.

Our players could work in that 3-4-3 formation I think.

I'm ****ting it over him short term.

He likes his defence to play passing football stringing multiple passes together and controlling possession........Someone pass me a paper bag. Can you imagine Former Captain Fist Bumpbs????????

I have no concerns over Schar and Fernandez passing the ball out from the back.

In Midfield is where it is going to go to **** short term.

We will just have to pull the team back much deeper.

Fitness levels will have to be improved.

I don't know what to make of Fonseca's record mind. A lot of the Roma fans seemed to think he had a fairly average time of things. Did well at Shaktar (but that's a tough one to judge in one horse race), done well in Portugal although Porto wasn't great.

Supposedly an attacking coach though and possession hungry. Likes a back four and likes his centre backs to be able to play so Lascelles is ****ed. I want a pressing coach ideally but he's got to be an upgrade and more modern than Bruce! I'm sure he's just the first part of the revolution too.

Whoever it is has his work cut out. The club needs overhauled from top to bottom. Not all those duties fall to him obviously, but they will impact his job. As we've seen with Vieira at Palace though, a good coach can oversee a quick overhaul of playing style.

I think his backline is very fluid. Its set up like a 4 generally, certainly when defending, with a midfield dropping between the centre backs when in possession to give the look of a 3421 and allow the full backs to push.

Who cares as long as whoever comes in has a plan, and gets us safe.

Who cares. WHO CARES. I am expecting within 2 weeks of an appointment genpress world class football.

Come on man, have your standards been lowered so much to expect anything else.

Just kidding, yes i agree. That set of players are not a bottom 3 set of players in my personal opinion.

No they probably aren't. However personnel wise, removing management from the equation, I do think we are lot closer to relegation candidates than previously. I have to say though on this seasons viewing some of our players are now worse than they were last season. Obviously we never really invest in the squad, so regression of players can hit us harder. In particular Lascelles has gone backwards another level again (been getting stiffer and worse year on year for me), and Clark has regressed really really bad. The younger guys struggling like Longstaff and Willock, its a concern but you'd hope its a bad spell for Willock rather than regression. Longstaff - I want to see him get back to what he was looking like, but maybe too much time lost and water under the bridge now. Hayden hurts us obviously when in possession.

Whoever it is has a bit of a task if truth be told. However just dropping Clark and Lascelles will have a massive impact.

Its amazing what a good management team can do for the players mind.

Moral was low and you could could see on Sunday that players where either not fit or not trying.

With a new team in doing proper training, tactics and for 4 days a week plus matchdays they will pickup.

Players like Lascelles will never improve.
Longstaff might with some decent direction.
Willock is a different players since coming back but obviously has the potential.
Schar is a good player, just never got a look in.
Dubz to come back.
Wilson now back.
Lewis should be given a chance.
Manq is a solid RB nothing flash.
ASM and Miggy should benefit most from a decent management team.
Ferny is ok aswell.
Hendrick may do ok in a well drilled team.
Even Fraser might do a job at his natural position.

Clark has regressed worryingly.
Hayden is clart.
Shelvey is a complete bafoon.
Gayle is clart.

Whoever comes in will hopefully get the new manager bounce of good results, which should see us out of the relegation zone at least.
