Just to really cheer everyone up, Steve McLaren said he wanted it and is still available...…..

we are 72 hours ish away from a huge game against a team in the mix at the top of the table...We still don't know who the manager is. So unprofessional. This club never seems to learn.

May as well leave James Fowler in charge, if he is prepared to stay that is, at least it is a sort of continuity and he knows the squad.

Dennis Smith was a hell of a manager .Toss up between him and Reid who I’d choose as my fav over the last 30 odd years

That season in division 3 was when I started going to the away games but the team and football under Reidy was immense. I choose the Reid era, just.

Nail on the head, slightly favour Smith just because that 3rd div season was my first as regular and the way he backed himself by agreeing to pay the compo from his own pocket if didn't get promotion

Ainsworth is staying at Wycombe, apparently.

I've wanted Stendel since day 1. Hoping that if Ainsworth is genuinely staying at Wycombe, Parkinson and Pearson said no and that Cook was denied the permission to talk to us, there's only really him to appoint and perhaps SKP in as an attacking coach.

Donald would do himself a lot of good if he made such an appt. He could certainly do with a win on the board

Hopefully, but I've got a feeling it will be SKP on his own. It's taking so long, we're probably at the bottom of the shortlist!
