Hard to tell, they're not the most hands on owners around in fact when was the last time we heard from FSG or had John W at a game? I get the feeling the owners don't really care about the club that much, we're just an investment.

They've sacked Woy mid season, but that was because he was pretty much hated by all and was taking the clubs to a real low. Kenny was given a full season and was sacked for the final position.

Like I say its hard to tell.

On paper in the league we have an easy run of games, my feeling is that we struggle and they'll pull the trigger

The football he got Atletico playing when ever I saw them made Mourinho's Chelsea of last year look exciting

3 points or exciting football? And I hate Mourinho <ok>

We arent even playing exciting football mate, we need to shore our defence up

Yep, I know football is about winning things but I don't want the negative football that comes with Simone. Under Houllier we won a fair amount of trophies and of course I enjoyed each and everyone of them but I didn't enjoy the football each week, it was bloody painful most of the time!

Good point about he current football not being exciting but that doesn't mean we should revert to 9-0-1 with a pacey front man!

The burd came home early from Christmas Carol practice, I had to put on the porn channel, she nearly caught me watching Liverpool.

The managers at big clubs are having a hard time because the TV money has evened up the field a lot and now you can't buy like you used to because smaller clubs can afford to challenge your offers. As to Rodgers, he had the benefit of Martinez's work at Swansea and the mercurial Suarez at Liverpool, now he has to build his own side it's a different story. Someone unlikely is going to the CL this season, I can't see either you, Arsenal or Tottenham being in the top 4 come May

As disappointing as it is for us to be so far away from top 4, I hope that you're right (not about us not finishing in there though) and Southampton or West Ham or whoever it ends up being get a CL spot, it's about time the Premier League got more competitive, it's boring as the same teams qualifying and being in title contention every season. And I hope you're right and that an unexpected team can go on a run and win the CL this time out. How refreshing would that be?

Liverpool qualifying for the CL this season broke the trend of the big clubs always finishing in the top 4.

Simeone is not negative. There is a difference between tactically disciplined and just merely parking the bus.

In this country, there is no appreciation for teams that can actually defend properly and play disciplined football. I bet the AC Milan team of the late 80's under Sacchi would be negatively seen by some in England.

Teams that have sustained periods of success are the ones who tactically drilled and disciplined - AC Milan, Man United, Bayern, Juventus, Porto, Barca.

Personally, the problem with LFC is not the system as a lot of people have tried to argue. It's the fact that we've got sh*t players starting week in week out (Skrtel, Lovren, Johnson, Gerrard). These 4 alone of costing the team every single match but Rodgers hasn't got the bottle to drop them. It's ridiculous.

Next manager - Simeone will not join us because he's above us now. Klopp, de Boer or Capello for me.

I would have to say that <whistle> not one saints fan is complaining that koeman has them defending properly...

I agree. jonhson killed the entire left side of our attack yesterday. could not defend and back passed all day with a preference for the ball running over the sideline rather than play it.

Skertl was so jumpy it was like watching a lamb in a field with a yapping terrier.

As for gerrard............ well.............. one can only hope someone smites him from on high cos with effrots like that he's never pulling a real hammy is he? we need him out and we need it 6 months ago.

Yet some people actually still rate Skrtel. Ridiculous - such a terrible, medicore defender.

toure played 2 games, played decently... skertl has played poorly for 5/10 games. this kind of decision making is why rodgers is in trouble.

Think you need to ask the mods to take your forum setting off twat mode because it seems to be constantly on for your account. <laugh><ok>

Calm down. Liverpool did break the stranglehold of the big 4 which set a precedent for the likes of West Ham and Southampton. It's a fact, why get so upset about it?!

Bad management/tactics can make even the very best look poor (and Skrtel ain't one of the very best). Ask any Chelsea fan what Terry looked liked playing for AVB <ok> He was all over the place week in week out. Poor tactics which didn't suit the league and partnered by Sideshow Bob it was a recipe for disaster.

The simple fact is Skrtel's played in a defence that under Kenny had little trouble keeping clean sheets. Playing in a system that suited and with a partner who was decent Skrtel was alright (never brilliant but a hell of a lot better than we've ever seen from Lovren or Sakho).

And you guys could do the same this year! don't let the small club mentality stop you, you can mix it with the big boys if you persevere.

This is where I think we are going wrong, it is down to the manager the players are ok maybe not brilliant in some areas but good players and a good squad lacking a center back partnership and a striker but that's it. We also have some good players out on loan or sat on the bench not being used (Lucas).

Maybe we should be patient but at this rate we're going to be out of the CL and in a relegation battle unless it is sorted. I don't think we should jump and sack Rodgers unless the right man is available but if he is then there is s choice to be made.

3 or 4 seasons out of the CL and we will be in that kind of company.
