It's a joke. If Donald made this appointment there would be war on.

Speakman can not waffle about progressive systems and such the apoint mowbray ffs
And yet the facts appear to contradict your 2nd paragraph? You clearly don't like Speakman (eg yesterdays this is all on Speakman comment whereas since then it rather seems more this is all on AN) is this clouding your judgement. He doesn't appear to have done a lot wrong and is essential to the owners strategy

The blame game starts.

Of course it is about his wages... so he may just be a greedy bastard, with no loyalty to the club.

But... I still think we are trying to run a breakeven financial outcome, without putting in the necessary investment in first.

So AN wanted Broadhead, he has gone to a rival for more money,

Stewart has not signed a contract yet, presumably due to money.

Its pretty much agreed with all and sundry that 4 experienced players are needed urgently to come into the squad. Its looking as if that is not happening (?) Lack of funds again.

So if Neil and Speakman are at loggerheads and, if Neil reckons the financial straight-jacket is stopping him taking the club on further. Any other club that offers Neil a pay increase and a pot of cash to bring players in will be attractive.

This is also going to put off good coaches/ mangers wanting to come to Sunderland.

You end up with deadbeats like Mowbray or Dyche who will take any job going, no matter the strictures.
All contracts we’re getting sorted after the transfer window imo. We’ve got money for the right people as has been proven with our signings! I personally think we’re a very attractive club to other mangers.

Some people seem to blame speakman for everything, without knowing the facts

Howld on marra we’ve had a couple of past owners that nearly took us under by bowing to employees demands. This bloke has a plan, and while I’d love instant success I’d prefer the club to still be here after I’m long gone and perished.

Let’s look at the facts

AN would not commit long term to the club
Speakman always had a back up plan incase Judas ****ed off
AN tried to throw a massive spanner in the works yesterday which was bang out of order
We had our €5m player in the stands
Stoke have not spent a penny this summer

I think it’s a bit of a **** off then Alex I can replace you in a heartbeat and has

While Tony Mowbray doesn't fill me with excitement - I'd rather have a young, dynamic coach - and although I'm surprised that a club structured like ours would consider him, there is one crucial thing about him that no one seems to be considering; he is capable of setting his teams up to play the way we want to play. He had Blackburn copying the high pressing game of Liverpool and adapted that style to suit them.

I see him very much as in the same mould as Alex Neil. A slightly dour bloke who will play football in a way that the club's hierarchy want.

Hmm yes and no.

Yes there appears to be a plan in place... but it may be that we have to raise the number and quality of the squad before "the plan" can work and be effective.

My poor knowledge of the dynamics of the discussion about implementing the plan is: AN has been adamant that more investment is urgently needed now to thrive in the Championship... he was promised it would happen, it hasn't.
