Why is Dyche the right choice? How does he handle not having control over transfers? How does he set this team up and get the best out of the players we have?

They're genuine questions, not having a dig. He's the biggest profile by far available really and I'm interested in the arguments for him. I just don't see how it fits.

I think he is a good motivator, he can work and build on a shoe string budget at premier league level, for me he is straight talking no bullshit, I’m surprised he kept Burnley in the prem as long as he did and may well have kept them up we will never know

Mid-table of the premier league is probably as high as we can go without serious financial backing and we aren't likely to be winning any trophies.

I don't want to watch **** boring football on top of that. I want to be entertained.

I’d be happy with a few seasons in the championship it’s such a higher standard than league one on the flip side it’s no fun getting battered every week in the prem

Certainly hard to see how he would either fit, or accept ceding all control of player recruitment to Speakman.

I doubt any manager wants total control though, they just don't have the time to see all the players. But I'd say they should have a significant voice, especially regarding players who are meant to be first team ready.

I'd imagine that would gave been AN's gripe, but who knows.

Personally , I think there is a lot more to Dyche than is painted.

Whoever it is, it won't be an experienced manager, which is usually pretty handy in this league and he won't be getting a big wedge if they couldn't reward the bloke who got them up.

I'd agree with this, certainly I'd expect him to be far more tactically adept than he's given credit for. I think he'd wait for someone to give him total control and a few quid to spend rather than come to us though.

I agree with the motivator part and the straight talking always goes down well with our fans. I want our play to be more expansive though and I'd want re-assurances that he's interested in that. He doesn't get a shoestring budget here to set up a team a specific way either. He's been given the players and he needs to play in the way we're expecting. If all of that works for him, then I'm not against it. I just think large parts of his skillset are contradictory to how we operate.

Blackburn fans seemed unanimously gutted that Mowbray left and that was after a long time. So there must the something about him that we don’t see
