I'd be amazed if it ever happens at the elite level. Maybe lower league, but the sheer attention and spotlight that would be thrust on a woman managing a men's team would probably prove too much for all concerned. Not saying I don't support it, I just don't ever see it. Hope I'm wrong

Yes men can manage womens teams. But not other way round.

Looking at Wiegman's record in international competitions, also her demeanour....she is obviously a world class manager.
So realistically Dyche fcuk me, no comparison.

If the issue with Neil was money and contract length then we are going to be limited to who will want the job.
you can rule out experienced coaches like Dyche foreign coaches are used to the 2 year coaching model but expect paying for it

As I said on another thread, it'll be a hard sell to try to tempt a manager already in employment, with an offer of a 1 year rolling contract. If anyone like this accepts those terms, we can rest assured that they are 100% confident in their ability to do the job and match the ambitions of our fanbase.

The rolling contract was a new thing do we know for sure AN wasn't asking for a contract with those terms?

Maybe he wanted it open so he could talk to other clubs?

who ever it is needs sorting ,now 6 days left of the window 2 of them are games ,both the ch from brighton was sorted and a loan deal with opting to buy for the PSG lad was close

don't know what happens to them now
Can’t see the club appointing anybody until the window is shut so they can’t ask for any transfers.

Particularly clubs in the North West, so he could be close to his family? In which case, we were nothing more than a stop gap in his eyes. Lots of questions to which we await answers. Whether we get them is another thing.

For now only 1 thing matters - 3 points tomorrow. Haway The Lads!!!!!!!!

I would be convinced being back close to his family if it wasn't for prehab. He is believed on most things so deserves to be when he says club have a lot to answer for.

My view is that it needs sorting in 48 hours absolute maximum.

Its all fine and well having a process as thorough as a multinational blue chip company but not this time.

Window is shutting, huge gaps in squad, games thick and fast, note what happened last time.

This needs sorting right now. Shortlist tonight, straight on phone "want it or not", compromise might be needed.

Appoint someone Sunday.

No ****ing about.

i am hoping that this has been known about for at least a couple of days, maybe even hinted at before oniels sacking...and that thought is simply down to the speed in which it appears to have happened, one day installed as fave next day seems to have the job already done and dusted, it took this club a week to get word out about keane and longer for him to turn the job down/club look elsewhere.

therefore ( and i know this will be wishful thinking) i presume the club have already scouted certain managers and are awaiting word from interested parties and will have it all sewn up with the same speed that stoke/AN happened.

We attracted the manager we're gutted to be losing whilst in league one. Now we're in the Championship and not getting rolled over 6-0 by Bolton, I'd expect an even higher calibre manager than Neil. Keane, McCann, Ainsworth, Mowbray....All League One appointments. Can't see us entertaining them for a second.

Presumably all of these, with the exception of AN and Barton will be considered. Farke did a canny job didn't he? Don't know much about him other than his memorable voice. At one point I rated Bilic really highly but his rep seems to have died a death. As I said earlier, I think it'll come from left field and probably a foreign coach ive never heard of, but there are decent options out there.

Farke is manager of Monchengladbach, he isn't realistic for us and he wasn't for Stoke. Wilder isn't either.

Dyche and Robins are the only realistic targets on that list I'd say.
