no idea mate but I hope we play him along with the rest of Ashley's ****. I personally don't care about finishing top 4. If we can win a cup to us that's a bigger achievement.
The streets will be filled with hundreds of thousands... top 4 won't come close to what the cup will for the city. Top 4? its not that important though this year really. Its year 1 of a 5 to 10 year build.
Unfortunately I think we're going to lose the final, but if we've got our best players on the pitch at least we'll have a chance.

top 4 gets you 500mil of players for next season. League cup only gets you 499million in players
no seriously though, it took city 5 years to get top 4 after first take over so you'd have a unique opportunity to use the excuse to accelerate the bloody money.
Yes you'd have a lot of fans out celebrating 100%, huge support and long suffering and just that sliver of... well.... blood and murder and all that.
anyway.... the thing is you've just got us to worry about then a week to get ready. If wilson, staint and almiron have slight knocks along with willock then you've a few worries for the final. BUT utd have to play leicester and then barca thursday before meeting you.
No disrespect to tin hat and all the fine work he's done getting really lucky with how this season has fallen but all he's really done is gotten the players fitter and enforced a bit of discipline. all the usual man utd issues still exist in that squad.

Football us about stories... this club despite not winning something for 70 years was a successful club... before money ruined the sport btw
I bet if you'd said back then that in 2023 newcastle would have not won a a major domestic trophy they'd have laughed. Newcastle winning another is a huge story. Top 4 just isn't .
Everyone's been laughing at us and some day it'll happen and we can go from there.

Ironically newcastle spent big then, but it wasn't sustainable. I still wonder what might have been if we'd got that title over the line , but everything that has happened has to have happened to get this opportunity next week.
The day Newcastle get that trophy will be the best feeling we'll ever get ... the longer you wait for something the more special the moment is.
I would also say that over the last 70 years there's been a romance in defeat.... it's something Liverpool fans won't ever feel, but I suppose it's similar to being Derek Chisora
