Newcastle form DDWDDD - Unbeaten but... Bournemouth , west Ham, Palace, arsenal leeds. Thats 4 of the 5 draws in games a side in 4th should be putting away. thats 8 out of 18 points. Just below top 4 form. (7.5/12 = 10/16) Liverpool Form WLLDLW - pretty ****ing lousy. Losses to wolves, brighton, brentford and craw to chelsea. Now... TBH I did expect the fitter and better sides to beat us but the loss to wolves was rubbish. thats 7/18 points which is nowhere near good enough. If I were honest and looking at this game a few short week ago i would be saying exactly what i said v brentford. (not Brighton) I predicted a loss then as brentord were going to run us off the park. Newcastle have or had all the attirbutes to run us off the park. Its not going to be brighton bad, just cos i don't see newcastle scoring lots but its going to be tough. I outlined what I saw in the long list of games newcastle have come through (game every 3/4 days with league cup/fa cup etc) I think there WERE tired. They had their first break of a week last week and drew but now they've a second week to catch their breath. I expect a high press and an organised back line for newcaslte. I do think there will be space behind if we choose to exploit it. I do think however we will just cough up something stupid again. Matip and gomez are just liable to do it at any second. apply a bit of pressure from a decent press and the numbers go through the roof on that risk.
