Our situation doesn't affect Newcastle's, nor does it affect Hartlepool's.

Oh please, your happy they lost, on monfay they will have Eddie howe in post and millions in the bank. We have LJ in post and spent the last 3 weeks getting gulped by league 1 and 2 teams.

So are you saying you can only laugh at teams below you no matter what happens.
Am I only allowed to be happy if we're richer than Newcastle and above them in the league.

I'm saying that in our position and in light of recent events, we would do well not to laugh to loud as we are in no position to take the piss
Sorry mate but I'll laugh at Newcastle being in the relegation zone whether we're coasting the PL or playing non-league against Gateshead.
They have 5 points from 33 and haven't won a game this season.
I'm not sure what the consequences of me laughing are tbh, will someone come and get me.

That's the thing I struggle with on message boards, I reply as if we are all sat around with a pint after the game, we waffle, we moan, we argue but it's all about opinionsShe's all woman ...

Context is the hardest thing to judge an a message board, I take it like you, mates having a pint and agreeing/disagreeing without falling out.

It seemed destined that they'd beat spurs with their horrendous new owners there but nah, got nowt. Some of the sad faces at the end of that one were classic.
It also seemed that they'd beat Brighton today, playing out of their skin in front of the new boss, scraped a point but still no win.
Seems like even when they bust a gut for the full 90 they still don't get anywhere, doesn't bode particularly well for staying up.
Only 5 points in November means 15/20 points by the end. ...
... Fulham went, last season, with 28 points so they need a massive change in form with the same players.
They're not very good and that's their problem.
They do aye and it's not like they need a new manager to get them motivated and grafting, they're already there in that sense. They're just ****e and there's only so much polish Howe can apply and only so much that can be done to improve a team rooted to the bottom in January.
If we were playing with the level of focus and effort that they're putting in we'd be top of the league no bother.
