As much as we "all hate Leeds", isn't it a bit hypocritical of us to piss ourselves about their new badge, but expect sympathy from the football world about the problems with our badge?....Just sayin.....

Our badge on its own isn’t an issue. If the owners hadn’t tried to change our name nobody would bat an eyelid at our badge.

No.

I never expect anything from the world of football.

This is funny as ****.

Leeds have bid £7m to AVFC for Ross McCormack & Tommy Elphick who today have both distanced themselves from Transfer in light of trepidation of wearing that badge next season.

To think Leeds are only almost 100 years old. These modern badges suit modern clubs with not as much history.

Totally disagree. I would more than 'bat an eyelid'.
But yes, it's just one of a number of issues, some of which are more serious than changing the badge (from something that was close to perfect, to something that's **** and doesn't even have a reference to the club's name).
Look to the left. Why would any sane person with any understanding of what being a fan of a football club means want to change what we had? If the reason was for marketing, which it wasn't, then it was all already there to be marketed. Idiots and ****s. [HASHTAG]#AllamsOut[/HASHTAG]

Their new badge is funny (IF it stays) in isolation, although I have sympathy for their proper fans, as I would expect them to have for our plight.
However, they are a club clearly on the up and they still have their proper name. It won't be long before Hull and ER is once again infested with TWS. Just one more aspect of the great legacy the Allams are leaving, and one that makes it even harder for me to stomach what's going on.

Fair enough, There’s been long periods when we’ve had no name on our badge, maybe it’s just me then that thinks it would be fine to revert to that.

It's either stupidity or a PR masterclass. (Obviously the former)

Be perverse, cause an uproar, have everyone talk about you, have other designs emerge and be judged for free, be the good guys at the end when they opt for a popular design, profit.

Genius if so.

It's stupidity. TWS fans will be staring at their feet when we or anyone else plays them and we do that ****ing pathetic salute whilst chanting...

GAY, GAY, GAY <doh>

If it was deliberate planned PR they wouldn’t have stated that they’d already consulted 10,000 fans. By stating this they’ve attempted to justify the outcome.

They would’ve instead stated it was entirely their own doing as a project and a few days after the inevitable backlash would hold their hands up, say they’ve learnt a lesson about an issue emotive with fans and would then commit to consult with their most precious resource - said fans - on all such future issues before launching a vote on a new design.

I am taking the piss somewhat, of course it's absolute complete stupidity on the part of TWS - but I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to twist it into a positive along the line of what I wrote.

The consultation they sent out wasn't even about the badge (sorry if this has already been said) - it was supposedly a survey which asked "What does Leeds United mean to you?", which is a ****ing stupid and downright Allam-esque way to gauge what a new crest should look like.
