New stadium thread

Living in Scotland for the past 6 years, I only come to England 2-3 times a year to visit family.

On Monday I finally got to see the stadium for the first time since January last year.

It’s so different to WHL and does look like a spaceship has landed.

Interestingly I was by the big glass entrance on the high road and on the other side of the glass inside were group of people walking around and chatting, Daniel Levy just so happened to be one of them .

The others looked like business sorts so maybe stadium sponsors?

Might have been to do with the NFL games?
 
Hello Tottenham fans. I was going to create a new thread for a question I had but saw this thread so I thought I'd put it in here.

Next October I'm hoping to go to your lovely new stadium for the NFL games. The first of which is an evening game, kicking off at 6 so should finish around 9ish. I'm just wondering what public transport is like around the ground on match day? Looking at train times, there's a train at 22:25 from London Euston which doesn't get me back to the west Midlands too late... Would it be reasonable to expect getting that train, should the game finish at 9ish?

You should be able to reach Euston by that time reasonably comfortably, if you plan ahead of time and you can walk at a decent speed.
Assuming it's like a normal game, then you won't get any buses right near the stadium, so plan to walk at least as far as Bruce Grove.
Seven Sisters will be a massive bottleneck for the underground, so it's a risk to wait there, in my opinion. Jump on a bus, instead.
The crowd might be a bit different to a Spurs game though, as most people know the routine.

If you leave pretty promptly at the end of the game and walk North to Tottenham Hale Station you will miss the massive queues that tend to occur at the southerly station, Seven Sisters. Tottenham Hale is slightly nearer at 20-25 mins fairly brisk walk. Seven Sisters is about 30 mins.

I went to Tottenham Hale after the Huddersfield game and got straight on aVictoria Line train, which will be directly at Euston in 10-15 minutes. Queues at Seven Sisters have been reported as taking 40 minutes post-game. The walk to Tottenham Hale is a bit of a rat run but if you've got Google Maps, you'll be fine

So, you should be getting to Euston within three quarters of an hour from leaving the stadium, an hour tops. .

Good call. I can get lost in my own garden but made it with Google Maps. I'd probably go with that for the first time, especially as it'll be dark and it is a bit tortuous.

Toby's been interviewed by the Belgian press and here are his comments about our new home...

“You have lots of beautiful stadiums in the world. But have you been to our stadium yet? It is un-be-lie-va-ble. Unseen. Unseen. Definitely under the lights, as they say, it can be very special.”

It'll be a great shame if he and the club can't come to some agreement on a new contract. He should be there to enjoy next season with us.

Good advice but Tottenham Hale is south east of the stadium!!!
