Yes I know it's the Sun but they won't be far off.

If the 800K figure is true, I assume that is gross, and the nett
profit would be about half of that (catering ITKs please feel free
to correct me on what the profit margins typically are in the trade) .

You are about right in normal catering establishments, but there will be an economy in numbers because fixed costs will not change much (staff, power etc.). I'd guess net would be around 500k.

I went for a couple of pints before kick off on Tuesday and stayed for a couple after. Had a pint of Gamma Ray and a Neck Oil. Not really my thing but they were very nice. I'd never have done that at Wembley, where I objected to spending anything.

After, I strolled down to WHL station and got straight on a train. So, I put the best part of £20 in on top of my ticket money and got home about 40 minutes later but the beer was good and I got chatting to a few guys...It's a great idea and an absolute money spinner.

The club have got this part spot on...now we just need to get the ticketing right.

The philosophy has to be "a bum on every seat" , whoever the supporter is.
So that means aggressive but equitable requisition of seats from corporate no-shows etc
sufficiently in advance to allow reallocation.

The next thing as you said is sensible categorisation of games by opponent + day of week.
There is no need for profiteering on the likes of the Huddersfield/Brighton games,
especially if you may recover some of the money from catering etc.

I not suggesting it, but if we didn't buy any players and remained in the CL, we could pay off the stadium in about three and a half seasons, less with NFL, Rugby and Rock Concerts. So much for the anti Levy brigade who reckon we will be skint for 20 years due to the stadium.

Remaining in the CL and not buying players is not a trick that can go on being done though.

There's a fair chance that we might choose to pay the debt off over 20 years because borrowing money is so cheap and we have a rock solid line of credit and history of delivering fabulous figures and profits. Also, our owner is fabulously wealthy and not a crook.

I reckon that total stadium sponsorship will come in around the £30m p.a. figure - with half of that being sponsorship of the screens, retractable pitch, Goal Line Bar, etc., etc. Over 15 years, that's £450m straight up. I reckon that DL is hanging out for the absolute best deal, which will come when the NFL commits to a franchise. That's when the training centre, stadium, hotel, housing etc. all go into overdrive.

It's brilliantly joined up thinking and will guarantee our future.

Win the CL this season and that figure will be closer to 60M/pa. Probably why Levy is holding out.

The worst time to sign a deal was pre-opening night. Now that the fabulous reviews are rolling in....

However, with the NFL games booked, a signed 5 year deal with Saracens, Eddie Hearn talking AJ fights and a CL semi-final in the offing...maybe some of the bed wetting twitter community might work out that our owners aren't as stupid as they are.

I'm guessing certain events, such as boxing, will be streamed world wide as well, bringing in even more money.

Something something football club run by an actual businessman.

Something something team run by a coach/manager who can
get a squad, even when injury-plagued, to repeatedly finish in
the PL top 3 when his club is ranked 6th in terms of financial power.

The executive summary : Levy OUT !!!

Lets hope Levy doesn’t see that comment or else we won’t be seeing any new signings until 2022 <laugh>

So new WHL is going to get its first weather test today.
Very strong winds coming from the west, so will be interesting
to hear how it feels to the supporters + swirls around pitch side.

I had burger and chips in the No 8. Should be some strong winds from level 4 of the Paxton.
