Hey, quick follow up post. I bought a couple of programmes today but I stupidly left them somewhere.... Possibly somewhere at Euston station, do you think I'd be able to get a spare one from the club, and if so, whom would I contact?
Thanks. I emailed an address which was something like [email protected] which I found on the site. I'll wait to see if I get a reply and if not see if I can find an address for the shop
Such a great gesture. While I hate the premier league and all it stands for, Tottenham are clearly one of the better clubs. I mean, with their support for the NFL, how could they not be... But still, really appreciate the gesture.
David Ornstein reckons we’re in talks with Google over stadium naming rights. We should name the stadium “Google It”. “Oh so what’s the name of your team’s stadium?” “Google It, bitch!”
The stadium has now successfully hosted NFL, boxing, both rugby codes and some big name concerts. The only problem was the stupidity of Guns 'n' Roses insisting on using their own sound systems for the first night. So, it all works very well and is attracting repeat business. The NFL people have already contracted to play more games at the stadium. Yesterday, I caught the last 5 minutes of the game and the possibility of a permanent franchise cropped up again...I wouldn't be surprised if ENIC aren't also fielding enquiries to buy the club. Given how weak the pound is against the dollar, now's the time to do it.
Some NFL blog is kvetching about our pitch, even blaming it for causing injuries, even after the NFLPA said our pitch is fine They're a nation of Arsenal fans...
I could live with Google as our Stadium sponsor when you consider some of the alternatives out there , anyway to me it will always be the Lane ,COYS
UK hockey were very pleased with their event too. I wonder if you could put down a temporary "hard" base on that pitch so that you could try and host sports such as badminton / basketball / tennis in the summer. On the commercial sector, I don't know how suitable new WHL could be for hosting business conferences (train connections to the airports etc would be far more convenient than it is for say Excel etc) .
I know some people who have already been to business events there. Good feedback and they clearly have the space to do it.
I was pondering whether new WHL could physically accommodate events at Excel such as TechXLR8 2019, without having to close down a significant proportion of the restaurant facilities available ro match day attendees.
I don’t know about big expos or anything like that. Maybe you could use the pitch? Weather dependant obviously. But for seminars and such they clearly have plenty of space designed for it or easily repurposed.
