The first gig at the new stadium has been announced. It'll be Guns 'n' Roses on May 29.

It's the only appearance in Britain on the tour and I'm washing what's left of my hair that night.

Still............Kerrrr-chinnnnggggggg!
They can share the bill with Anthony Joshua. Quite like to see him knock out Axel Rose, who is now definitely a heavyweight.

Crapheads. Are there any more living Tottenham people about these days, apart from me? I think I'm still living! The wife swore at me yesterday......so I must be!!!!

Levy will be loving this. Cheapest ticket appears to be just shy of £80.

"We are only going to do a naming rights deal if we get the right brand, in the right sector, on the right money.
"If we can’t meet those three criteria, we won’t do it. At the moment, we haven’t found a company that meets all three criteria.
"We are not really close to anything on that at the moment." - Daniel Levy.

Good.

Live Nation will pay rent for use of the stadium, Spurs will not partake in any cut of the ticket prices.

The rental fee will determine the amount of profit the event organiser
makes from the event, and thus the ticket prices (assuming they are not
doing serious profiteering) .

Apparently, we got 100% of the food and drink concessions from the NFL games with an added 50% on the drink prices. I don't know how much that works out at but it's got to enable us to cut down on the up front cost to the promoter, if we've struck a similar deal on the concerts.

That's likely to be a very attractive proposition to promoters when added to the fact that the stadium has been designed to do this stuff, rather than being shoe horned into somewhere crap, like The White Elephant.

These days the contracts are written so that rent affects both artist and promoter. big ticket artists anyway

I stand by my comment that rent will not impact the ticket sale these days and Spurs stadium will be as competition as say Twickenham,

Its a nice additional income, but might pay for 2 players weekly wages max.

I read somewhere that we were making £800'000 per game on food and drink for a prem fixture

Gosh, that reminds me of when I travelled to the Midlands and beyond and...…..bloody Bovril! Do they still drink that stuff up there?
