I think what they're saying is that unlike other clubs the owners can't sell the current land to help fund the project.

The article is very negative though and they will already have spent probably millions getting this far.

Perhaps it's all deliberate leaks to help soothe those who are fixated on the current ground.

Perhaps to help the environment PIF can plant a large ring of trees all the way around Consett, to both help wildlife and so the public doesn't have to see Consett as they drive by. <cheers>
How about "planting" a nuclear bomb instead? That would solve the problem and the likes of Stanley and Chester le Street would not suffer any additional fallout over and above what we currently get from Consett.
