Which April?
This April..... either option is described as breathtaking, so that's all we need to know.
Which April?
They will when it's all tidied up with the authorities, mate. But for all intents and purposes it's a new stadium, pivoting SJP onto Leazes Park, three stands build first and opening to allow around 60k whilst then SJP gets demolished and the fourth stand comes in, taking capacity to around 70k.

They probably also want a new CEO in place, presumably the Solis move is the catalyst for that.
how about building a stadium with a green park on top of the roofi'm actually against building on Leazes, i hate seeing greenbelt destroyed, even more so if it' in a city centre. If the club can confirm SJP would be turned into a park after the new stadium has been built, that would sway my opinion.
The council has had so much of their central funding cut over the last decade or so, they're skint, and as we've seen with the Gateshead flyover, aging infrastructure can go quickly, this stadium cut lead to a nice "cash injection"

I love the view from L7, so that would be cracking.how about building a stadium with a green park on top of the roof
seems the in thing these days![]()
Gladiators READYThe colosseum on the hill.... where big 6 clubs come to die.

Perhaps to help the environment PIF can plant a large ring of trees all the way around Consett, to both help wildlife and so the public doesn't have to see Consett as they drive by.Plus on the current site they will build stuff and also make some more green space too to offset I think

TAt the end of the day its 80,000 match day fans and associated revenue vs a few tree huggers and newts mate.
Money talks and with the jobs it creates the project will get waved through.
