Who do we think will be the first choice penalty taker next season, stepping up after Rickie's departure? It's hard to say, with us having rarely seen players other than Rickie taking penalties, and with us not knowing who will be going or staying for next season. As things stand though, who do you see as being in line for being responsible for the penalties?

Was just thinking this the other day, tough one. Jay would be the obvious candidate but as much as I love him I just don't think I can trust him, despite him having all the necessary ability to step up and plant them into the corner I have a feeling he'd contrive to tamely poke it to the keeper fairly often. JWP has the technique but isn't a starter. Davis has the temperament but isn't exactly a goalscorer. Adam I have similar worries to Jay with. Gaston would probably try and Panenka every single one. Morgan, no... Vic, no... Cork, oh God no... Any of the defenders... no...

So for me there's only one conclusion... It has to be Boruc.

If he's playing it will surely be JWP. If he isn't playing Lovren might be OK, he takes a good free kick anyway.

Think it will be Rodriguez - he was first choice in the game against Yeovil but gave it to Guly to take.

Would like it to be Morgan or JWP

If it is I hope he took some lessons from Rickie before he left! I can remember him taking one in a cup game, (league cup, Sheffield Wed was it?!) and even though it went in it was less than impressive! And then there's this:
