Could it be that the takeover is dependant what division we are in next season? This would explain the short-term contracts, and why TS is getting advice from Reg. It would mean it will take place at the end of the season, NDA's have been signed, and we won't hear anything about it until it happens. It would mean the Belgian must have given up on his £50m dream, which was always the stumbling block.
Agreed, as long as regardless of division, The Valley is part of the deal.

This is appalling. The American Consortium don’t have enough money to buy us.

I don't think the consortium is American - but Methven is still very much involved.

I posted a while back that an exclusivity deal had been signed - I am being told that this is still the case, but it is a lot further forward, but potential worries are passing the EFL FPP criteria.

The EFL helped to save us from Elliott & Farnell, perhaps they will protect us again.

I was glad when TS came in two years ago because I believed he was a genuine guy who wanted to help CAFC.
But if it's going to be just one round of crooks and spivs after another, frankly I'd rather it was over.

Better to cease trading with a little pride still intact than be abused again by more scum.
And despite my very low opinion of the competence of the EFL, perhaps they are the only basically honest party involved.
Death at their hands would be cleaner than more dishonour.

So what do we want? Fans yelled and screamed about the EFL dragging their heels to approve the Nimee/Southall takeover, and it turned out the EFL were right to be wary.
If they don't t like the new bid, they should block it. Serious offers only please.

It took ESi ages to provide the proof of wealth.
They did eventually, but as they went on to show, proving wealth doesn't mean you will spend any of it.

Being very serious here, as a football fan and forgetting rivalries. You boys have seemed to continuously been well run behind the scenes, that is the key.

Nobody likes them, but they still have a strong identity.
Something we gradually began to lose around 15 years ago.

More to do with Lady Luck who buys a football club I'd say. Once you have a bad owner it's hard to break the cycle. Only the deluded or the crooks will look at an overpriced run down club once it's on the slippery slope. And we've had both.

News to me, this, and very bad news at that, for more than one reason. The bottom line is that we can abandon any hopes of the club and assets being united again. No-one will guarantee £50m, it's ridiculous, and it means Sandgaard is even more deluded than we thought he was, to sign this agreement. We'd probably be better off if he'd kept out of it, and we'd gone into administration. It does explain why Tommy has to keep an interest in the club. Douchebag jnr won't assign the lease to the other party, who presumably won't guarantee £50m.

Bugger this for a game of soldiers.

I've decided I'm not going to let this unending bad news get me down in 2023.
This year has been dreadful for CAFC and all the fans who love the Club.

The rich knobs who play games with what's been at the heart of our community for five generations can stick their money up their bums :emoticon-0172-mooni
If they go too far they'll get what's coming to them. Nobody cares about their money grubbing.
Charlton Athletic stands for something better than they'll ever be.

Tommy's agreement with douchatelet is basically a surrender document. No wonder the Belgian signed it.
