    Bassini is a bad joke.
    Just like Matt Southall.
These people have fewer morals than a liver fluke. They must have about as much self awareness as a liver fluke too, because if they could see themselves as everybody else sees them, they would take a leap off the nearest tall building.

The only way Bassini can wind up Charlton Athletic is by what he's doing now - winding up its fans with his pipsqueak gibbering.
Football Clubs don't just shut down because a crooked little turd stamps his foot.

    Beyond pathetic.

What is "Charlton Athletic Football Co Ltd" anyway?

    I'm becoming concerned about two problems with the Club at the moment;

    1) The weakness of our squad.
This can no longer be wholly blamed on problems of the past.
Martin Sandgaard and/or Steve Gallen must do better in the summer.

    2) Attendance figures and free ticket dumps
The former is not good communication. We need honesty and transparency.
The latter no longer seems to be working (understandably given the football on offer) and is making the former issue worse.

I don't mind the fact that TS is on a learning curve.
But I'm concerned that experts he should be relying on are not delivering.
Or that we don't have the right experts.
Progress seems to have slowed almost to a stop.
Is Sandgaard listening to sports people from the US, who know nothing about the English EFL?

The free ticket thing is becoming silly - one thing is to try and get new fans into the club, but when it is repeated over and over, it just gives the impression if you wait long enough, you can go for free.
I've actually been wondering the same thing that TS and his US roots mean he is applying USA solutions to English football, and they don't neccesarily go together. I have no idea if this is true, but he could definately use some input with the management side of the club. I can't blame Roddy for anything as I still don't know exactly what he was doing in the first place, but in England, building a squad should come from the relationship between the manager and the scouts. That there should be someone overseeing how much we are spending makes perfect sense - you can't just spend unlimited money. But the actual team strategy should come from the management. If you tyrust them, you let them choose. Martin Sandgaard has arole somewhere in there, but I can't see what.

However, after all of that, our last two defeats on the road were far from unexpected. We know full well that the squad is very average. The worry I have is that voiced by a lot of fans that JJ is playing too many players out of position in order to keep his 352 formation. Surely if we don't have the players to do that, we need to shake up the formation. I refuse to blame him for saturday, after Washington, Aneke and Fraser all fell out of contention for the game. But he does seem wedded to a formation which appears very poor at times, and if he has it in him to change to a 532 or 442, he should maybe try that.

There's no way he'd be allowed to build on Sparrows Lane. But I suppose he knows that.

Granted, but his family can inherit.
As an aside, it would not surprise me if Sandgaard found us a new ground. Of the 10k Charlton fans at The Valley this Saturday, a large % would not have remembered, or been born when we were in exile.

If we leave the Valley and end up in a flat-pack 12,000 capacity stadium on a bit of waste ground next to the river, then it's over for Charlton Athletic.
We would be worse off than Welling United - who presumably still have ambition to be better than they are.

I can't believe the older fans would accept it.
And if such a move was eventually accepted, then the Club would deserve to fade into obscurity forever. Fans would have betrayed the spirit of their fathers who fought to bring CAFC back to the Valley in the late 1980's.

And any flats built on the site of the old Valley had better have good security.

Can't see him doing this while he's got an agreement to pay rent for 15 years. After this, who knows.............................That's the insecurity of the situation.

Evening my anorak wearing chumps.(and the Oompah Loompah)

Hearing that Sandgaard has got big problems with his Company.
Their biggest customer (UnitedHealthcare) have binned them as a supplier and are suing for over $50M of historic over-supplying/over-billing.

Memo went round the City this week to steer clear (main points below)
12 contentious issues reveal troubling fundamentals.
The business model is not suitable for the long term.
The shares are grossly overvalued based on DCF.
Do not trade until ethical concerns and the business model are openly addressed by the CEO and management.

Probability is that you will be up for sale agai at the end of the season.

Positioning himself as the preferred bidder - wouldn't it be nice if he bought back Charlton legend Matt Southall as Chairman <cheers>
