Supporters Committee meeting minutes March 2019 - Ehab Allam states that if players were to leave, the Club value would drop and more people would be able to afford a lower price. In Jan 2020 Bowen and Grosicki leave for about £22m, but in June 2020 Ehab confirms asking price is still around the level of the debt (£42m).

He says things like this all the time, they're meaningless, they never turn out to be true.

How much have we received for Bowen so far?Didn't he recently state that the price was £42 million minus what was due on the Bowen sale etc(or arithmetic to that effect)? Maybe I'm completely wrong here.

Let’s not forget it was you who started this debate by criticising people for not believing him

Lots of people have explained why they don’t believe him, and given good, evidence based, examples too.
As an example, my take on him making the statement about giving the club away if he couldn’t sell it being said in a pre planned media interview wasn’t me ‘surmising’ anything. It was said in a pre planned media interview, that is just a fact. You seem to have ‘surmised’ that for some reason in the middle of the interview, which he had arranged at a time and place to suit him with the support of his media staff, he said something he didn’t mean due to some apparent ‘heat of the moment’
Now as I merely stated a fact, any chance you could explain why you surmised that?

So also there have been lots of examples of why people don’t believe what he says specifically about writing the debt off. (Lies about it being owed to the bank, statements over a year ago that the price would go down which came to nothing)
Now, rather than you just questioning everyone else’s belief, could you explain why it is that you believe that he will write down the debt sufficiently to reduce the price to make the club more sellable?

Given that you started this debate, and people have answered your criticism, I don’t that is too much to ask. I for one am genuinely interested in what evidence you have considered when deciding to believe him

I do think that now is a good time for someone to buy the club by the way.
It’s just that I think that due to finances etc...not because of anything Ehab has said.

I won’t get my hopes up on new owners until someone actually has the keys to the stadium (or whatever the business equivalent of exchange and completion is).

has anyone been to view a house, quite liked it, but then been quietly told by the agent that it’s being sold by a divorcing couple, or that the seller is “a character”? Message being, only proceed if you really, really want the property and are willing to deal with plenty of nonsense along the way.

'Relegation to the third tier for the first time since 2004-05 no longer make a sale realistic without writing off a portion of those debts and it is understood a sum in the region of £15-20m could now tempt the Allam family into selling if they are assured of receiving outstanding transfer payments'.
