I'm spending more and more time away from our forum and with Mackemsrule having to step down a second mod was needed.

I'm pleased to say that mackemswelder has agreed to become our new mod.

Good luck Welder. With the exception of the two Herberts who have been like itches that wouldn't go away - both been banned by the looks - the board seems to have settled down nicely. I hope that's not a case of famous last words!!

The king is dead, long live the king,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, NAH,,,,,,,,,,,Its a big task to be a mod, unpaid, unlike the BBC cretins, who piss us about, and get MY licence money to fund it, so far on not606, Sunderland wise, I think the Sunderland mods were excellent, sorry to lose such a valuable man, but will enjoy his posts, just the same, you did very well mate, understand the frustration of having to be so tollerate of MY SOURCE, must have driven u nuts,you had a good go, very best of luck. . Thanks lads and i was rather looking forward to a good duel with the 2 herberts, are you sure it's only 2?

I'll give it my best shot but please don't jump down my throat if i mess up.

As most of you already know, apart from the 2 numpty's we had up until recently just about everyone on here seems to get along pretty well and as i've been told by BB & Syd, the board more or less self moderates anyway.

I'm on here most days so if anyone wants to PM me you know where i am and i'll do my best to sort out any issues.

There'll be others. And reincarnations! I think having a "good duel" with someone is good and healthy. The problems arise when posters get abusive, which reflects their lack of intellect. That's what happened with the two "bannedshees"!! Cheers.

I'd like to say thanks to MackemsRule,

I understand he got pissed off when people were having a go the other week, to the contrary at the time when he started modding we were getting a bucket load of complaints on an almost daily basis, and he handled everything thrown at him with aplomb.

It's a piece of piss to moderate now it's settled down, hence that reprobate welder is deemed good enough to fill MR's boots <whistle>

I wasn't trying to be disingenuous in saying it should be easier, I just meant once the swearing novelty wore off and BC bit the dust.
That's why it pissed me off about fellow fans having a go at the Mods!
When we were all finding our feet here.

The Mug Wum's have been utter failures too, (being irritating isn't being a Wum!) that's not to say smarter Mugs wont turn up mind. :)
