The win tonight is written in the stars. I mentioned on another thread that I saw the lads win the Fairs Cup back in 1969, so I wouldn't mind seeing another trophy before I get too old and confused by what's going on in life....<whistle>

What popular opinion are you talking about? People who were interested in becoming a MOD, were asked to put their names forward, if you think you could FACE up to it, you should have put your name forward.

I seem to remember somebody putting a Thread up asking for donations for a sponsored walk who I met up with and gave £50 to. It was never mentioned on the original thread that he'd recieved £50, nor did it show on the total amount collected. He didn't mind being given cash by whoever wanted to give it to him. I wont mention any names though.

Yet in the OP you've said people should put others' names forward and suggested a poll.

Popular opinion (a poll) would have seen someone who perhaps you didn't want to be given the post, given it, and the whole thing was never a democracy like it was mocked up to be. You've clearly just talked among yourselves and appointed whoever you wanted, which is fine, just don't make a bullshit lie thread about it.

<laugh>. To be fair, he kinda has a valid point. It was touted as a Poll, but that didn't happen.

Now I do genuinely think that jimmy is the right choice, without doubt, but it wasn't an open poll. That said, polls haven't worked at all for selecting Mods on other boards, as fans from other teams influenced it on purpose. We wouldn't want to be bound by most votes if it's been purposely distorted.

I think we've had the right outcome. I also think Tash will have his day - maybe sometime soon. <ok>
