Very true...I can see both Burnley and Luton missing the playoffs. Sheff Utd should find it hard going. However, I heard something about a US takeover which might give them a large cash investment to splash on new players..If so they might be up there.

Yeah. Honestly, I look at that Sheffield United squad that just came down and barring a few players, it doesn’t even look like a good Championship squad.

They really mucked up their squad last season.

That squad was one of the worst squads in PL history imo, both on paper and on the pitch when it mattered. Sold their two best players from their promotion season in Berge and Ndiaye and bought one or two decent players like Hamer and Archer but the rest were gash. Really piss-poor recruitment from them. They went straight back up the last time they were in the Championship but I’ll be surprised if they do next season. Barring Archer, Hamer and Souza (who will all probably go) their squad is bang average even for this level.

Aside from having money to spend on wages, they don’t even seem an attractive opposition either.

Do players really want to play for Chris Wilder? What sort of style are they? It’s all a bit ‘meh’

Appreciate for lots of players money will be the priority but I think they’ll really miss out on being enticing elsewhere.

Archer I believe had a buyback to Villa on the basis of them going back down. Was like a glorified loan essentially

FFS the comments have been that Acun once again saying Pandus is our number one only to then clarify after either realising what he's said or having been talked to is not the smartest thing to say at your new manager's first press conference since it's his decision who the number one is. Acun himself clearly agrees or he wouldn't have backtracked.
Acun is not necessarily picking the match day team but do you not think the “brain team” have discussed the goalkeeper situation and therefore if Alsopp and Ingram aren’t going to be here next season, then for at least the time being Pandur is the default number 1

The "brain team" are essentially analysts, for all the fancy job titles, they're analysing coaches, players, performances etc so it's natural that as part of that work they pull together what they consider to be our best 11. It'll also be how the identify areas we need to strengthen and the players we're willing to let go.

If the "brain team" were picking the match day teams, we wouldn't need a head coach, would we.

You're quoting a post from three days ago, the discussion's been done.

I don't think Allsop is leaving for what it's worth.

Not a big fan of the new training gear on first look, I'd guess the tiger print on the sleeves will be on the kit. Reminds more of Guylian chocolates than a tiger print though.

What the training kits look like is at the bottom of my concerns and priorities.
