Yes I saw that so I thought it strange it was reported somewhere that City are waiting for a Work permit for Walter before confirming.
I've worked for clubs in the past that would get wp in place during negotiations. I'm not sure if city are being a bit lapse here or if Norwich are pro active.

Id say we're being a bit lapse, but we have an owner who seems to have way to many other interests and businesses that all need full time attention as well as us.

That is the problem with having a globe trotting club owner, making TV shows, meeting UEFA dignitaries, purchasing other clubs and being elected to the board of Fenerbahçe.

Just needs to focus more...

Acun will have very little to do with this other than to be available to announce the signing. Tan and his team will be sorting out all the details.

I’m pretty sure Acun has a good relationship with someone in the Turkish embassy, I saw some Instagram posts a while back. Wonder if they help push along the work permits?

Edit: Apologies it’s the Consul General and HM Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia based in Istanbul, not the embassy.

Not sure how a Turkish embassy would help a German national get a UK work permit.
Well I assume he would have some useful contacts within government considering he was previously Deputy Trade Commissioner for Europe.

Is it too outlandish to say maybe that same someone deals with work permits for more than one country? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Yes, it is too outlandish. And nonsensical.
