It maybe is different from the championship, but man for man isn't that unusual any more. We did it more and more as this season went on and were doing it every game by the end.

It's bonkers, and maybe it wouldn't happen in the Championship. I'm not saying you're wrong on that. I just don't think you can say that marking man for man is the difference, because we definitely have been doing that, leading to Greaves in particular defending in all sorts of strange areas.

if you try and play like this in the championship youd get battered

some people have said ipwich as an example of attacking, but you need to really micro anaylse them, they are so so well coached, they are not anywhere close to just overload the attacking areas

90% of their first 11 has played under mckenna for 2 years, watch ipswich off the ball and its remarkable

Maybe it was luck and it's going to be a chaotic mess though haha.

Yeah, I just suspect the opposition didn't set out to defend like that either, I think they've been forced but perhaps you're right, I'd need to watch more.
