What a tricky position this is for Acun.

Dawson has done a good job, but papering over cracks and building long term for a promotion push are two very different jobs. We'll only know if Dawson is the man for the latter job if Acun takes a risk. I suppose you could say the same over Rosenior.

On the other hand, other candidates will presumably have some form of track record, but are they the person for this group of players at this time this season?

I'm glad I don't have to choose.
I see it the other way. Daws doing well has steadied everything and brought Acun time to look at a full time replacement. Acun can just extend the temporary arrangement, knowing If it turns sour, unlike a permanent position, he can bring someone else in. If it doesn’t, then he knows he has the right fella.

Slightly on topic I always thought Wenger looked for players with a low centre of gravity , minimum height , weight , running gait , , speed etc , strong hips - all to be able to keep a ball , fight for a ball and be balanced enough to change direction easily - along with the other skills needed . It stops your team looking like a pub team and being inconsistent - I’m sure you will all now list the exceptions - but it’s a basis for reasonable quality - like STATISTICS
Apart from the arsenal team that went unbeaten for a season obviously which were a team of giants
Probably only cole and Freddie under 6 ft

Lauren 5’11”, Reyes 5’9” Clichy 5’9”. Maybe some other who didn’t play as many games. So some games half the outfield were under 6’.

Sounds like you have height issues that you’ve used two bit part players that season
Settled midfield of
Pires 6”1 parlour 6’ viera 6’4 Silva 6’2 Freddie 5’9
I can add Edu if you want 6’3 and played as much as clichy and Reyes put together
Could include keown, only played three turns but he’s 6’1
Kanu only played a few times 6’6!!
Cygan 6’4
Henry6’2 bergkamp 6’

so I don’t know why you’d bother

wenger was sick of being bullied or out fought by Man U Bolton etc and put together a team that could handle themself

One leg is average?
It’s an old statistics joke on averages. No one has more than two of each limb, but there are people that don’t have two whole limbs for various reasons.

Therefore if you work out the average using the mean number of limbs per person over a population (number of limbs divided by number of people) everyone has one and a bit.

if you calculate the average by using the mode (most common number), then the average is indeed two.

Statistics show the average person has two legs, two arms one bollock and one tit.

Excellent Stat - this also means that they have half a penis and half a vagina which is difficult to visualize and probably doesn't function very well.

Well, he's probably referring to "lies, damned lies and statistics", which Disraeli absolutely did say. Stats and data aren't the same if you're being precise, but when discussing football on a forum, semantically I'm sure you can get away with it.
Statistics is interpreted data.

Statistics is interpreted data.

Data is the smallest units of factual information that can be used as a basis for calculation, reasoning, or discussion. Data can range from abstract ideas to concrete measurements, including but not limited to, statistics. Thematically connected data presented in some relevant context can be viewed as information.

Whoosh

Understand it. Doesn’t mean I agree with it.

Disraeli was debunking one part of the components which make up data, Though the meaning and application of the word data has changed over the years.
****s sake! there's some uppetty ****ers on here lately..
