Sick of hearing about Martins record with Olympiakos - it would have been harder for him not to win the league. In the last 26 years, they have only failed to win the league 4 times.

I'm nervous about the appointment - no knowledge of the Championship, the teams, the players, and the gruelling schedule

You appear to have missed his achievements in Portugal? He took a number of generally smaller teams to Champions League qualification - that’s pretty impressive.

a good coach is a good coach in any league they apply their trade. knowledge of a particular league literally means nothing if you’re a good coach

Exactly, we need a good coach, who can get the best out of the players we have. Whether Martins is the next manager or not, if he succeeds, it’ll be great, if not, then that’s the risk. However, I see the appointment of him as a better attempt to gain success than Shota.

One encouraging thing is that, if reports are correct, he's bringing his own coaching team of 4 with him. That's got to be a massive step forward compared to what it was like for Shota, compounded by his communication challenges too.

According to the flight tracker, at least on my pc, his plane has been hovering at 3000 feet just south of Vigo (is that another sign?) for the past 12 hours or so. [HASHTAG]#stalkeralert[/HASHTAG]

Well apparently Pelkas didn't have a clue, so I doubt the others did. It makes the win even more impressive!
A bit strange when There was a photo of him in the stadium well before the game and I even read online during the day that he would be at the stadium for the game, I’m sure it will have gone around the dressing room. Anyway we won and that was the main thing.

Seri collapsed and Acun managed to resurrect it. So wouldn’t completely give up yet. His plane is also still in Portugal, surely he would’ve left the ****er if talks weren’t continuing
