Peter Taylor was managing Bradford in 2011. He was also asked to be Alan Pardews assistant manager at Newcastle in 2011 too. That seems quite recent experience to me.

Nah to be fair I did forget Taylor was at Bradford, although he was hardly a massive success there
 
I also forgot about Taylor being at Bradford, last job I remember him at was Wycombe, I remember his weird job at Stevenage when he took over from Stimson and found out non league is not fun and left after about 6 months.
 
I'm assuming from the links brb that you have a feeling Dennis Wise is in with a shout to be next manager. ES article states he wants to get back into management and the other states he was in Dubai around the time Scally was holding interviews? I seem to remember you writing that you weren't completely sure on time scales a little while back. It's an interesting one. Charlton Palmer and Steve Staunton were out there (Dubai) at the same time too. Bloody hope neither of them get the job though!

Just out of interest has there ever been a time in the history of the Gills that so many people have been linked with the Gills managers job?
 
Has there ever been a time that so many managers have been linked with any job, this has been one of the longest dragged out ones ever, Scally could have done a documentary about the appointment of the new manager and a procedure where one is fired each week, like the apprentice as this seems like what it is like.
 
I wonder how the relationship between Wise and Scally faired during the Scally vs. Bates saga? it was well known that Wise and Bates were close friends, as were Scally and Bates (for a while at least) so did the fall out adversly affect their relationship?
 
Martin Allen has just been installed as evens favourite. I'd love it to be him. Why at this late stage has money gone on him unless someone knows something.The talk lately has been all about Tilson or Hope Powell so I find it strange that interest has heightened in Allen now.
 
Dennis Wise give it a rest, absolutely no chance. At the speed Scally is working at to find a new manager, most of the candidates would of retired or dropped dead!!
 
I think Phil Brown has been added as I have seem rumours on Facebook and with betting they obviously look for names being mentioned to add to the list as the more they have on the list the more chance they have that people will bet.
