I think a fitness coach is a must, or at least a manager who understands fitness. So many injuries last season was not just down to bad luck. I remember Hess saying last pre season that players will get fit by playing lots of friendlies. That showed his lack of knowledge about fitness levels. Some players will probably get and keep fitness levels through playing games, or playing games in training, but some won't. In all walks of life ,you get some people who put in 100% and others who just go through the motions. The one criticism that couldn't be leveled at Stimson's team, was lack of fitness. We won a lot of games late on with his fitness regeme, and thats whats needed now. I think if "mad dog" becomes manager,he's a stickler for fitness, and does a lot of it himself.
