This has Aston Villa type manger appointment from last year. Want to be positive like a lot of you with with regard Puel but I can't seem find the excitement moving forward. Hope I am wrong.

Fine not to be excited but please go a bit deeper than Fremch manager; Aston Villa; were doomed, with your thoughts.

Here's his team's goals from last season.

If he can just get us to strike the ball as cleanly, from distance, as some of these examples, it will be a start.
I know it's a different league, and a different level, but a lot of good quality goals, with plenty of strong running on and off the ball.

Look at the end of the day Les Reed and the rest of the board would have done their due diligence on Puel and if they think he ticks all the boxes and they feel he can take us onto another level then so be it.
Tbh I'd never heard of him before but the again I'd never heard of Pochettino and we know how he got on.
It's all fine thinking we must have a "big named" manager but their never guaranteed success and can quite easily fall flat on their face, let's put our trust in Reed and get behind the new man and the players and hope we can have a decent season.
Tbh I'm more worried about keeping our best players and trying to improve our team so we can at least have a decent cup run and decent final position.

A high league position and get to the final of the Europa League where the opponents will be Athletic Bilbao

I hear that.
Even if we get off to a bad start, we have enough quality to tread water, so I'm not worried about our position in the prem, but we have some special talent who will not be content finishing mid table and getting bombed out the cups. They have to believe in our ambition, as we have to as well, and sometimes its harder than others.

But yet the club itself must hold a certain attraction for players. Nathan Redmond felt confident enough to have signed for managerless little Southampton
