    Remember the Tonto joke.
Tonto and the Lone Ranger surrounded by Indians. (Native Americas to young people)
What do we do now Tonto says Lone Ranger.
what do you mean by WE ,white man .says Tonto
The old ones are the old ones.

The flaw in the Lone Ranger story (which I never saw when young) is that wearing a mask and riding a showy white horse is not the best way of hiding from your enemies. Never mind the Indian companion.

We'll know if he's in the frame when he gives Fraser Forster man of the match tomorrow night for an exceptional posture, whilst sitting on the bench.

Looking at odds checker, after Howe, FdB, AVB, Pelligrini & Moyes come the following names: Adkins (25/1) and then Dechamps and Diego Simeone (33/1) - how the hell are those odds so short? Are our fans really that deluded to be putting money on Simeone. He's sure as hell not the 7th most likely manager out there right now - is he?

I was deluded enough to chuck a few quid on Simeone, but I got 80/1...Worth chucking away the cost of a pint on the very unlikely event of Simeone joining us if it could pay for a nice weekend somewhere interesting.

    Google translates it like this:

On the table, Jemez would have the option of an English team and of Granada, unless suddenly appeared among potential for Sevilla, which is not.

So it's not certain where he's going yet. His agent is probably using us a a bargaining chip if we're not interested: Other two where pretty certain though, so no Emery or Sampaoli

Jemez's Rayo teams were suicidal defensively...they've been in the bottom three in goals allowed each of the past three seasons, and it finally got them relegated this year.

On the other hand, this article compared him to Poch:

And note they link him to us back in February. It's the type of left field signing we wouldn't expect.

    Wow!
A bit of searching shows he likes to play a pressing 4-2-3-1 as well.

Remind you of any teams you know? I'm willing to bet his name came up as a prospect, even if he's not been shortlisted this time. The black box will certainly have seen the similarities between his preferred style if play & the clubs.

We have generally liked our pressing to come with a side of defensive solidity, though. The few times I've seen them over the past couple years (granted, generally against top competition), Rayo was so fixated on getting the ball back that they were constantly scrambling around out of position and always a couple sensible passes from giving up a good goalscoring chance. They were really fun to watch as a neutral, but it'd be a massive gamble...if the defensive woes carried over to the PL, we'd have to keep a close eye on the drop zone.

I don't watch the Spanish leagues - so you'll know far more than me. I'm just reporting rumours. I'd not even heard of the guy until today! I just looked him up and found mostly good things in the media. :)
