By poaching Manning and his staff from Bristol, in mid-contract, we have caused the Robins to incur expense additional to what they would have otherwise incurred. The correct remedy for that is compensation. Just pay it and move on.But I think that’s fairly normal when a manager leaves, the staff that came with him normally leave. Why should we pay compensation when whoever they select as their new manager will likely want to replace them with his own staff
