New Kit?

I'm still baffled at how much people hate it. I thought everyone liked the classic, minimalist kits these days. City release an amber and black striped one with no sponsor - surely a dream scenario - and it's somehow controversial. I've read dozens of comments about how bad it is but I still don't understand what people actually dislike about it.

I honestly don’t get the hate either. It fits really well compared to our recent kits (especially if you’re bigger) and looks like it’s designed for sitting out in the sun with a beer. It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old as it’s pretty versatile and suits a lot of different fashion styles. It’s the kind of shirt that can be worn whether you’re a retro kit hipster, the kind of person who wears a bucket hat, or even someone who only wears blue jeans and brown shoes.

Seems strange after all that to stick with Corendon. Gives the impression the lucrative offers expected weren't forthcoming.
Well, if true it shows that the marketing, shirt and sponsorship experts from a month ago were talking (writing) absolute ****e.

Apparently Oxen were no longer producing the kit because they were too tinpot for a premier League club, Corendon were getting the boot as sponsors because they couldn't afford the premier League sponsorship costs and would get outbid by a wealthier brand... This on top of the ****e written last season about Acun having to sell the club to break even and telling club employees not to pay bills. Honestly can't believe a word written on here and the more confidently it's posted, the less likely it is to be correct.
