Doesn't us having a totally unique and not a template shirt make us stand out in the whole of the 92? I think it does.
Spurs have Pony, who are they, Everton, Castore, nope, Wolves Sudu, no again,. Palace, Joma not exactly stand out names are they?
Adidas have 8, Nike 3 and Umbro 2.
Wait until you see the shirt.
Agree, plenty of naff average shirts in the prem, L**ds and Man Utd have had cr@p shirts and badges for a few years now, makes me lol when I see their plastic FKW's, adidas have been lazy and complacent for some time until finally some innovative clever c#nt of theirs decided to widen the three stripe and the Nike England shirt wins bland shirt of the year. Oxen could surge on the back of City if they deliver.

I wasn't sure about the new kit at first glance, but slowly it has grown on me, and I must say I rather like it. Different from the run-of-the-mill Nike or Adidas offerings, great to see the club also supporting local business.

Had to laugh at some of the remarks about the new Newcastle kit, if you scan i you would get a Sainsbury groceries as it looks like a barcode.

I love it , I’ve not read up on the criticism of it (on here I was gonna read thru the comments but it starts in 2025 so I went to latest ) I remember the hcafc badge I think a lot of clubs did just initials before the proper cool badges of the mid/late 70s took off . If it drops without a crappy sponsor I’d consider getting one so long as it fits nice

You all like the word obvious on here don’t you.. it’s a weak cover for somebody trying to make a point who doesn’t have any substance behind what they’re trying to say.

I’m not involved at all with Oxen, but felt compelled to join this forum to answer to the absolute nonsense being spouted by people who have no clue what they’re talking about.

I guess I’m also a fan of the underdog, and really want this ambitious local company to absolutely smash it with us. I think we all agree that they didn’t expect to be partnering a premier league club this year, but good ****ing luck to them.
Remember not so very long ago when Newcastle Utd were taken over by the fella who owned Sports Direct. They had a huge modern super store club shop right in the middle of the city centre and were knocking out the black and white striped home shirt for a tenner, could have been even cheaper, someone in the rag trade will no doubt know on here, The club said that they want every one in Newcastle to be able to afford to buy one and it seemed that every other person in the North East at that time had took them up on the offer.
So this 'ambitious local company to absolutely smash it with us'??
The way to do that is at least pitch this new shirt, which doesn't seem to be over popular, at least the same price they have pitched the HKR shirt, or better still a few pence under £50, better still if they could bring the price down furthur.
Latest from my 10 yr granddaughter, 'I'm not a fan of the shirt, but I still want one'
Final word on it from me, I think it is a huge own goal to do away with the tigers head badge/crest. Improve the design by all means but to bin it completly is commercial suicide.

I think I’ve at least disliked every new kit every year with the sole exception of the genuinely great black one from a couple of years ago. I’ve got used to most of them in time and I expect this one will be the same.
It’s an age thing mate
I bet you’re furious about liking the black kit even now

I still mutter about it

Mike Ashley never sold shirts for a tenner, when he took over in 2007 they were Adidas and were £45-50 and when he left they were with Puma and were £65. They're now £85 for replica shirts, or £120 for player shirts.

Sportswear margins aren't massively different to fashion, an ex-factory cost of £13.50 on one of my polos is £65 at retail.

Getting it out early is good, but couldn’t they have waited for a sponsor. Seems a bit of a **** about taking back in to have a sponsor put on later , I actually like it without a sponsor but assume most people would want it on if buying

Getting the shirt out before the season starts is early for us

I suppose it depends if we have actually finalised a sponsor , it could
be weeks before we do that so letting people buy the shirt seems reasonable

Now now, let's not let facts get in the way of the 'obvious'

They had to do the launch earlier than planned because the images were leaked on the internet. Bit of a shame that.

You could confirm this but I remember buying my first Ben Sherman shirt in 1972/73 for £12, my wages were £22 a week, £12 was a lot of money then, the average adult wage was about £35/40 a week, today it’s supposed to be £750 a week, not in Hull it isn’t but £64 is not a huge percentage of the weekly wage like a Ben Sherman was.
Perspective.
