From the back it’s indistinguishable from one of the many black away or third kits we’ve had over the years. Solid amber back or stripes on the back would’ve gone a long way. Our home kit should always be predominantly amber with either black stripes or solid amber with black details. This one is just black with bits of amber.

When the Botanic lot saw it at their private audience with Acun, did they not get to see the back, or did they just not raise any complaints for fear of upsetting their Lord and master?

One of them said one of the shirt designs was mainly amber with black pinstripes so who the **** knows haha.

A Hull City kit account on Twitter run by a guy called Les thinks the reason for the solid black back is because Kappa design their kits to UEFA specifications. If you remember during our Europa League campaign, the back of the home shirt was different from our domestic home shirt.

Rather than have white numbers and font on black and amber stripes, Kappa just went with a black back.

Still think black numbers/letters on an amber back would be better for a home shirt but amber numbers/letters will look miles better on the back of the shirt.
