Those both look better.
However, Aviva would never have let them happen.

I think the Club have missed a trick here, half and half shirts have been worn by City for 20 seasons during the course of their history, more than that if you include the original blue and white ones. City have turned out in halves for more seasons than any other style, arguably our most traditional of kits. This could and should have gone down in history as an iconic strip celebrating 80 years at Carrow Road, fact is they've ****ed up by the simplest of errors in choosing Aviva's yellow and blue logo rather than their white one. I mean, FFS surely the marketing department at City should have realised that the front of this new shirt looks like a piece of Lego?
The most highly anticipated kit in our history has been ruined by a stupid mistake and while we're at it the shorts look like skirts with the stupid yellow trim AGAIN and in any case should have been black.

Rant over :)

Hi bors, takes me back to my youth. First game I saw was green and yellow halves. Don't remember the game but do remember Robbo at left back and Furness being present.

If the club must reminisce then black shorts (or knickers as they were then called) would be more appropriate with a thin double stripe.

Aviva pay for the privilege of their logo on our shirt, not bothered as long as they continue to sponsor our club. :emoticon-0132-envy: :emoticon-0133-wait: :emoticon-0132-envy:

Looking forward (DV) to a successful season.

I like that Aviva sponsor us. It maintains a link with a company that could have gotten lost. Aviva is now a huge company and they sponsor us more out of loyalty than the advertising opportunities. Remember this relationship started as we were relegated to league 1.

That said the logo does damage the look of the new kit. Other than that I actually rather like it. Far more than I thought I would.

If Aviva insisted on this ridiculous design then why didn't we just change it? If it was up to me, we'd have a plain yellow shirt with green trim and black shorts. I was quite looking forward to a half and half shirt as it's a bit different but this shirt is frankly woeful. They've lost £48 from me, and quite a few others too I'd imagine. Frustrating as they so nearly hit the spot.

Love the black version that Drunky posted at the top of this page. Such a shame that the sponsor logo spoils the official version. Companies are so specific about rules when it comes to their logo that I'm not surprised it came out like that. What does surprise me is that the management still went ahead with it. It could be worse of course, but there you go.

I find it ludicrous that so many of you criticise AVIVA when they came on board at our lowest point for 50 years and have remained with us!

I don't give a toss what they wear, it's the on-field performances that really count, it's a bit silly saying "they've lost £48 from me" as if that's the important thing!

Aviva originally sponsored us because they had just dropped the Norwich Union name completely and wanted to pacify the people of Norwich. Prior to this they had never sponsored individual teams or Sports(wo)men, only tournaments or events.

Bit uncalled for Dave isn't it?

To put it simply, it's a lash up ! Worst kit for years ! I'm sure my kids will want it as they're kids, but for me not this time I'll give it a miss.
The front looks like a jigsaw puzzle !

It's not Aviva's fault Dave. All companies have specific rules around how their image / logo can be used. Some people seem to like it, others are disappointed at the creatives who put together what in my opinion is a bit of a hash job of what could have been quite a good kit.

All of this negativity will be completely forgotten if we start getting results wearing it.
Look back at how many criticised last year's away kit and yet I'm sure it was our incredible away form (once AN took the helm) that got us into the play-off slot. The rest is history. <ok>

I stand by what I said, I'm only interested in what they do on the pitch! They can do it naked for all I care, how can so much importance be placed on a T-shirt?

People are dying all over the world, let's have some perspective FFS
