If that's true, I'd be a little disappointed with Saints. I know things are a bit different/desperate at the moment, but we've always seemed to be a fairly principled club who does the right things. A betting company would be sending out completely the wrong message. You also can't put their logo on the kids' kits. What about people who are religious, can they get an adult kit without the logo?
EDIT - Now it's officially confirmed, a one year deal at least suggests it won't be long-term. Still, not a great move in my opinion. Gambling in small amounts is fine, but a lot of people I know have had issues with betting addictions and I'm still baffled why the Premier League allow them on the shirts.
I agree. I was always really proud that Saints were one of the increasingly small number of clubs that didn't have a gambling company as a sponsor. I understand needs must and all that, but I sincerely hope this is something we move away from for next year.
I'm not exactly a huge fan of having a gambling logo on the shirts but I'm 100% glad to be away from LD Sports.
Yeah I agree, never trusted that deal. Did you listen to the interview of Martin Semmens with Blackmore? They asked LD Sports about their financial situation, had one email reply and then didn't hear a thing back and couldn't get hold of them.
Kids won't care or be bothered about who the sponsors are, but it's a good excuse to educate them on the rights and wrongs of gambling!
Not ideal to have a betting company on the shirt, but I'm fine with it given they had to find a sponsor at short notice and it's only for a year. Had they spent months cultivating a 3 year deal with them I'd feel a lot worse about it, but in this case I'm okay with it given the situation
Not ideal that we are sponsored by a betting company, it does look good on the shirt though. Much, much, MUCH better than that old bollocks we used to have.
I'm not too bothered by them being a gambling site as I heard a rumour that we're going to be sponsored by BabyMeth.com next year
I wonder what you would pay for if you went to the self-scan in a supermarket wearing a West Brom shirt.
West Brom’s is awful. Wolves excellent. It stands out to me how much more interesting ours is than most there
A lot of nasty ones in there. Seems a particularly bad year. What are Man City thinking with that bohemian hippy type design? Also, West Ham, Villa and Burnley all have basically the same shirt. Boring. Don't mind the green Liverpool one. Palace 3rd is the best, followed by Brighton home. (Not including ours)
