This falls into my theory Speakman is toast. My original thoughts were KLD replaced Speakman in the hunt for the new coach, relieving Speakman of his duties. Speakman was downgraded to review the u21 squad, this article backs up this role. There are no quotes on coach recruitment or first team recruitment.

I believe Speakman will be removed in August/September after a handover to the new DoF. Removing him at the end of the last season would have been seen as a sign of weakness, the club being rudderless etc.

We shall see.

Just looks like a bog standard article to me with nothing else to read into but who knows.

Just know there was a big meeting Monday and the expectation from that was it was down to 1 instead of 2. Similar to Scout.

That's why I said on Sunday that there should be more news in next 24 hours. Surprised nothing else has come out since this period.

Again though, every day that passes, I feel we are losing opportunities to improve.

Not necessarily how it works, we could have been planning on that sale all summer but spent the money on outgoings first. That fee then replaced it. We also spent a bit in January and a bit sacking two managers

If there’s no release clause then with every passing day it incentivises QPR to dig their heels in further. Farcical this is dragging on really. If what they want is ludicrous and unaffordable for us, go elsewhere.

Is the fact that nothing has come out not more worrying? They obviously hoped that was the breakthrough but might not have been?
