I’ve never really bought into the love-in with KLD but then again don’t with any owner for the 60 + years I’ve supported the club
Owners come and go.. KLD will go one day and we get someone else, the ONLY constant in a football club is its fans. We have a lifetime commitment … we will be here whatever.

I know ive said this before, but I actually despise Keith Downie :emoticon-0102-bigsm blokes Scottish, not from the area and was 'crying' tears of joy when MBS bought Newcastle. As unlikely as it is, if it ever came crashing down on the mags with that ownership, you can guarantee he'd be the first to try and condemn them being allowed to buy the club and how it isnt the Newcastle fans fault. Sorry to go off topic but had to get it out of my system.

I don't think any new terms have been offered and flatly rejected.

Simply no talks about new deals until a new head coach is in place.

This is very different narrative.

That said, if they don't confirm the head coach appointment soon, this situation can easily extrapolate and we will be a very very poor position indeed.
There has been talks and a contract is on the table.

It’s not great news things like this leaking. Impacts on other business going on. I also wonder/worry why it’s being leaked. Bit of a come and get me from his agent (Dan wants to stay but there’s interest that you’d presume could turn his head)?

Sorry mate, but if KLD is selling because of a few nasty words on the Internet then he possibly needs to get some thicker skin.

His old man owned Marseille, he should be well aware of how tribal football fans can be
KLD was 11 or 12 when his dad passed away. RLD was known for spending a lot on the team, no doubt young Kyril was treated very well by players, staff and fans alike.

Right now owning Sunderland is very different to life with Marseille.

Are you trying to infer he had no understanding of how the supporters would feel about the Newcastle shambles?

One million% agree mate

They have 2 years on the deal. I am not worried at this stage. We need to get some key managerial structure and a renewed joint focus and move forward. Longer this pisses about Neil, Rigg and others will have people in their ear and less likely to enter any discussion.

I've been told things, in the last few days, that I hope aren't true.

I can't post anything but it would be absolutely explosive ...

... the managerial appointment would be a minor side issue.

Best if people just dismiss me as a fantasist tbh.

...

I read that as bad news with you saying the managerial appointment would be a minor side issue.
If it's the same as wheatsheafs rumour I hope it's not true. For 1 I think kld is a good owner and building from the ground up, laying good foundations. Selling now would be a lot of uncertainty for a new coach to come in to and whether new owners would back him.
And we don't know who we could end up with and whether they would carry on what kld has started or totally change it and not necessarily for the better.
