I don’t think I’ve hidden the fact I want Rosenior well. We may get the best person by bad management. What is fairly clear now though is there is something in our offer that isn’t working. Whether it’s the people involved, recruitment plan , budget, pay, staffing or a mix, some red lines seem to be losing good people.

How is it clear? If you believe the ITK’s Still accepted the job until Lens showed an interest. Some say Maric accepted it before that. Then we’ve no idea if Jansen has been offered it, as the Alkmaar fan above says, he’s interviewed for an awful lot of jobs now…

IMO we have to give the the club the chance to get the appointment right, I know recently they don't have a very good record in this area. All the linked names had positive and negative aspects on their CV. Whoever we appoint as long as they are decent at coaching at championship level of football, we'll be ok as long as they are given the correct tools to compete in our league.

Well it’s been quite clear Still was our priority and the evidence we were after Jansen looked pretty concrete so there’s 2. Svensson was also due for talks before he committed to another contract at Union wasn’t he? So now we’re onto at least the 4th.. Wasn’t there also talk of Rohl but we wouldn’t pay his compensation?

Not saying all of those were manageable but if we’re talking preferred choices then all of those fit that criteria.

But regarding Still, people on here heard that it was all agreed. He got himself a new agent who then started touting him around clubs and he supposedly then turned us down. No one really knows who's on the list of head coaches that we've actually talked to

Lets hoping we get an announcement in the nxt couple days, the Friday statement makes me think its close - obviously it's just words so until someone is announced thats all it is

I get folk worrying about things, we are all worried about it, until someone comes in

I dont get folk saying we are down to our 5th or 6th candidate as none of us know who were the preferred targets - but each to there own

The process has taken far too long but will be worth it if we get the right manager. Ill judge the process more when we see how the new manager gets on

The worry with the Friday statement would be that it was made because they thought they had their man in Jansen and something has gone awry at the eleventh hour meaning it’s back to the drawing board.

Sorry mate, of course we can praise what’s gone on inside the club, it’s already happened. Nobody is praising anything that hasn’t happened, we aren’t like you fannies knocking things that hasn’t happened.

There's plenty of things that have happened that are worth praise and criticism.

I see plenty of praise and criticism for things that haven't happened and I don't mind it, I do mind people saying you can do one but not the other. Makes no sense.

I dont think they would make an announcement like that unless they were sure they were close.

Prehab mentioned 2 being interviewed so it could be that they have got the other one (if jansen was the other 1 prehab said got interviewed)
