Don’t think they would’ve had the input then as they’ve had the last 13 games. TM had his mate as 1st team coach so would’ve thought they’d just had suggestions and not decision makings
That doesn't mean they aren't good coaches, some just wanting to get rid of them because we had a poor run when they were in charge. Put them back to where they were before

I am of the same opinion. But the risk reward can be worth it. Since Mowbray went I think we have lacked leadership and experience across the club. A figurehead if you like. However, I am quite taken by Maric personally.

Maric assistants gigs impress me. I am a fan of Rose and will hope he has moulded Maric to an extent. He has experienced Leeds which is a melting pot of a club. Bayern dont appoint folk without due care and attention. I think his profile looks really good, but I daresay his backroom team might be the making or breaking of him.

Still doesnt excite me in the same way. I just dont think he has worked at the same level Maric has. Obviously he has experience in the main gig, and that is a big tick. But I dont think he gets a free pass for the last 3 or 4 months. If I were picking between the two Maric is a step up from Still for me and I would be happy with him. Still would get my backing too of course.

My preferences arent too relevant, but would have rather we go down a Robins or Cooper route. Sometimes ambition is shown by doing the tried and proven. That clearly isnt how our owner sees it, and he has my backing in what he chooses. I just hope someone has convinced him of the value of experience somewhere on the footballing side. Unlike others I think Poyet would be a masterstroke in our setup somewhere.

I'd be ****ing baffled if we ever appointed Robins as HC. What makes him the best candidate? Poyet as DOF too? What makes you think that would be a good move? Zero track record in that role...his signings at Sunderland were not the best, his persona doesn't seem to sit at all well with the role.

So we could go with Maric as head Coach, Poyet and Strubber as technical and sporting director?

That's not bad looking at all

Mark Robins would be a brilliant appointment. Consistently overachieved at Coventry. No way he’d come here tho as he’s loved there

Robins didn't really pull up any trees until his second stint at Cov though. Which kind of shows that appointing managers who haven't done that well elsewhere isn't necessarily a daft idea. At Coventry, this time, he's been given time and patience. All of which suggests to me that the conditions a coach is given to work under play a huge part in how successful he is. Robins wouldn't necessarily have those same conditions here and would be starting from scratch. His success wouldn't necessarily immediately translate. Ideally, what we want is someone who is happy to work with things the way they are currently at SAFC, and to give that coach time to mould things to suit themselves.

Yep that's what I say also, thing is I don't think dodds wants to go back

I feel that KLD understands how massive this summer is for us. I really do think he’s learned and means business. An exciting appointment instead of the manager merry-go-round, change in recruitment strategy and bringing in a new DoF will show he means business imo

I wish speakman nothing but the best if he is going I just feel like this is the perfect time for a change and Speakman’s decision making is inexcusable for this season. I think it makes sense for both of us to move on

Me too. If it's true we could've got him then some serious questions need to be asked.
Totally agree, if it’s Maric as many are saying then he gets my support but Eric knows the club and he has experience and what the club is all about. Opportunity missed I think
