When are the players due back? Someone chatting to Patto in The Stack last Friday said he thought he was going back end of June.
Having a guess I’d say around the 24th June. We want the new man in then, out on the grass and getting his ideas across. It’s a huge summer and we’re currently short in a few positions, with some of our better players linked away. These next few weeks are vital, the new gaffer needs as much time as possible before we kick off the season imo.
Who plans the pre season then? Players are back sometime in the week beginning 24th June. It takes weeks of preparation work to plan sessions.
Yep thats why im saying this week is the final straw for me - will give them till the end of the week n if its not done by then ill worry
Hardly anything has happen in the market, most players are away on holiday but theyll start to return in the next week or so

Not really, we have a recruitment team who deal with transfers. Although ideally need the head coach to have his say aswell

We don't have a set play style at the club so I don't trust the recruitment team to identify appropriate signings.
I wouldn’t trust them to identify themselves in a mirror
Yeah it’s about time we asked the head coach what positions he needs after looking at the squad so he can actually achieve the style of play he wants to play. Wouldn’t that make the most sense?
give him a look at the squad, then he can come up with the type of player he needs for whatever position he needs and then the recruitment team go out and look for them?
giving a head coach a load of random players and just hoping he can achieve the style he wants is setting him up to fail
Bang on. Last summer is also in the back of my mind too, lessons must be learned.
We do have a set style of play, the way TM had us playing, the club want a exciting attacking style of play which we had, then unfortunately appt Beale n Dodds who slowly killed that
