Not trying to be funny mate. Just wonder about the money and transfer issues.
He seemed happy to have had the contract drawn up ready to sign so was obviously happy with all the terms and conditions.
Is it not more a case of Lens have offered better terms.
So then it's not a case of our terms been ****, just Lens we're better.
He must have been happy with who he was being allowed to bring in.
I've got a feeling he'd be taking the same front row staff to Lens as he would have brought to us.
Every team has coaches in place when a new manager comes in that stay at the club. As long as he was aloud to bring in who he wanted that shouldn't be a problem.
So realistically the reasons for his change of decision could really only be wages and maybe more say in transfers.
Or he may just be playing hard ball trying to get as much as he can out of us maybe with reassurances he has some input in transfers that are for the first team now, which to me has been Speakmans biggest problem.
I have no problem with the players he signed, the problem I have is with the players he didn't sign, I'm sure any head coach coming in would be conscious of that, the fact no one he signed in the summer was ready to play week in week out.
Not even Jobe who I think is quality but got flogged for such a young lad

Depends if you believe that a contract was drawn up and he agreed all terms on said deal doesn't it.

Maybe this isn't our model - if there is an ambitious Championship club, who wants to work in the right way, to be open and honest about things, and to really try to push to get somewhere

Tbf I'm going to back the club here - if they hadn't been any of those things, at least initially, we would never have gotten to the stage where he agreed to look at a contract.

Not sure anymore what the criteria is for people liking managers
Wanting experience but want Maric
Want good form but want Still
Want attacking pressing football but want still
No journeymen but Warnock gets mentioned
The club can’t win so need to do whatever we think is best and ignore the fans. The key thing is to get the right people doing it, right criteria, the money and structure right and back it up with a winnable squad then it will land but it’s clear that people will whinge about the bang lot and they need to ride over the post Beale entitlement
