from the hunter otr I'm not in any way claiming to be ITK, despite my background in the media, but I was at a former players' event on Tuesday when a member of our 1973 squad got a message - from a contact in Italy - saying that Lampard was set to be announced. That's it, make of it what you will. If it is, he can't be much worse than some of the names we've been associated with. And his name alone may help attract incoming players (if he's given any sort of budget!).
Would Lampard really be that bad? Apart from us constantly refered to as "Frank Lampard's Sunderland" He did well at Derby and Chelsea the first time around, Everton he did ok, then the club turned into a basket case. Could be interesting
Don't we have to wait for the Saudi cash, then the premier to make their picks before anyone commits to the championship
Lampard as far as I’m aware has no history of working within the boundaries our model have, it seems a stretch he’d be happy with them. Unless they’ve changed the goalposts of course.
General consensus online seems to be positive towards Lampard which is something I guess, atleast we won’t see constant whinging IF it is him, wouldn’t be my choice personally I’m still hoping it’s cifuentes
