I think we can blame all our da’s for choosing to support Sunderland and putting us through this ****e
Not sure why people are so attached to Jansen. The lad from Holland posting on here put me right off him. Will Still will still be out of work tomorrow, 10 days after he supposedly chose to turn us down in favour of another club. Strikes me as odd.
Yep, it’s a weird one. I suppose we’ll never know the full details about what went on with us and Still.
This is what really winds me up. I'm sure yourself and a few really clued up people (such as Sour Patch) might have known about him but the vast majority of Sunderland fans have never heard of him until the link with us. I consider myself to be a bit of a football nerd, I've seen AZ play at least a few times in the last couple of years and I could even rattle off the names of some of their good players in the last 5 years (Koopmeiners, Reijnders, Stengs, Kerkez etc.) but Jansen's name wasn't imprinted in my memory and I wouldn't have been able to tell you much about his style of play beyond a few buzz words about AZ. Of course we can all use the internet to research and get further information, but it's strange to get so attached to a coach that they've never actually watched. He's the only coach who's sacking and bad run leading up to it isn't really being mentioned. Almost like lack of information is proving beneficial because there's nothing to use as a negative against him. I've no problem with people who liked the idea of Jansen. It's crazy to criticise the club for not appointing him after an interview though.
Got back to back meetings till 1 30 thank god. Starting to celebrate work being busy so I can’t click for info.
I don’t honestly think any of them are that attached to any potential manager m8, what they want to do, and it’s a vocal minority btw, is vent, look funny or hard in front of their virtual mates, get clicks or whatever kids do these days. They seem to want to get somebody in so they can then either hound him out, blame speakman (and the fella who’s paying £9m a year to keep their club going), or say we were too tight to get an alternative, or an alternative wouldn’t come cos Dodds and speakman are “special “ friends etc etc. it’s a really sad cycle we’re in atm, as Internet supporters. I read yesterday somewhere that before Keane was appointed we went 177 days without a permanent manager, might be a few days out there btw, and thinking back I can’t remember one conversation on a Friday night around how **** the situation was, we just got on with it and waited for the next Saturday to get our arses handed to us by someone else. **** me we’ve had the worst 5 years in the clubs history, we’ve had a top 6 and a mid table finish in the second tier and everyone agrees we’ve got some decent young players on the books, and yet we’re in the **** without a peg for our nose.
I think that today is the day where we finally get some clarity on who our next head coach will be. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that there will be a formal announcement, just that the club may leak something on who is in the frame rather than who isn't. Caveat. I have no information on this it's just a feeling in me water, more than likely some nasty little infection. Hopefully, today will be a good day,
