we haven't had the money to really go for a lot of quality this really is the first proper test of "the model"
There was enough money available last summer to sign a lot better than we did. We’ll see anyway, bigger issues currently.

Rosenior is a very good candidate but I think we have some fans who believe we should be able to attract someone like Mourinho.

We need to be realistic which is why we are looking in the Dutch and French leagues etc for highly rated managers before they are snapped up, the Championship is probably of an equal standard at least overall to their top leagues other than a few teams.

Just off the back of this, as of April the Championship was ranked as the 7th best league in the world based on average club ratings. The top 4 are as you would expect so we can probably discount most of their managers other than the ones near the bottom :emoticon-0100-smile.

The French Ligue 1 and Portugals Primeira Liga are 5th and 6th and only slightly better so it makes sense that we look there for players and managers.

Anyway I've gone down a rabbit hole here...sorry!

There’s a point where you stop pushing though. I think Moyes is a great example. We chased him for ages and eventually got him but his heart wasn’t in it when he arrived. You can’t just keep offering the earth, needs to be desire from both parties. Can’t just woo from our side cause that will soon fade. I want someonee crap who’s up for the fight
I said from the beginning, why do we not just advertise, at least we know who wants to come. We can still get rid of the crap.

I can't find the post anymore but the person who mentioned concern over Hulls chance creation under Rosenior is correct to have that concern, however I think that is something that will come with time and i'd rather a coach who knows how to dominate possession but struggles with creating chances over a coach who can't control games.

Jansen and Rosenior are good appointments for this squad of players and i'm pretty excited about either. Just hope it comes over this weekend.
Probably didn't help they didn't really have a striker to play with. Connolly made 13 starts and a 39yr old Billy Sharp only managed 2.

I’d be happy enough with Rosenior. Would much prefer Jansen tho

Will Still would be an exciting appointment although he's not managed in the championship and at 31 is quite young and a bit of a gamble. Be happy with that though. Rosenior has championship experience and Jansen has a great record. Almost a 60% win rate at AZ and at 51 he has a lot of experince. Either of those I'd be happy with although I'd prefer Jansen.

Will Still absolutely dead now surely, feels very last week him now. Think I seen he was 20/1 on SkyBet so no chance

He was nominated for manager of the yr as well, no idea why hes getting so much stick

I think he would be a cracking appointment, he is also a manager that has room to grow with us

Like @SourPatch2 said he knows how to control a game, last season they lacked tempo but the yr before he had that so he knows how to set his teams up

Their owner is a psycho Damien duff took a shelbourne team who historically have been one of the best Irish teams poor couple of decades to 4th last season their highest finish in 18 years.. Hull owner was going to sack him got bought back out after 6 months now duff has them top after 20/36 games
