Earlier this season Everton with thier in house design team took on this re-design challenge and ultimately failed. Mainly because of missing elements in the new crest/lack of thought with Everton supporters.

So... my question to you Hull fans whats your thoughts on a new crest?

What would you want to see on it?

What don't you want to see?

I dont care if you find that offensive, coming on here creating a crest for Hull Tigers offends the **** out of me.
 
Where are you studying at?

Everywhere I've studied and had to do a final major project, it has always been either free-reign, total creative license - or a 'theme'. Never come across a final major project being a specific brief before.

Alternatively, if you insist on doing it yoursen, then "Hull Tigers" at the top, then have the above tiger head in the middle. Est. 2015 beneath it. Maybe substitute pound signs for the tiger's eyes.
 
Could we incorporate the 3 crowns in this design? Or is this too complex?

It's got to have Hull City AFC on there somewhere.

Obviously thier's going to be dismay that it's 'Hull Tigers' but that is the brief and that unfortunately cant be changed. Unless a crest without text; like you said the classic Wolves logo.

Gibb11, I set work for both 3rd year undergrads and MA students. In terms of media/broadcast/graphic design or fine art based practice work or project, I can't ever recall setting a 'hard and fast task' like this. Likewise, speaking as an external moderator (for four other degrees) this is unusual! The learning outcomes are fixed but not usually the project choice or design. I'm pretty sure this is serious request from you and not a wind-up, but I'm puzzled as to why 1) you are not originating the project brief at this level and 2) if this is a theoretical 'client led' project brief, there is no element of flexibility or adaptation to changes - or in this case NO change.

Are we talking about Hull College here? If so, who is the tutor? As my institiution franchises HCFE's degrees, and we sit on their boards I can get this person 'fixed'. Not me personally of course, I can't dirty my hands on this, but this sounds like a job for Carmine if you get my drift? (Get the violin case packed Signore Galante) <cool>

It is free-reign I choose to do the subject a while back because I knew the challenge and that Hull City were going through a 'rebrand stage'

the subject is Topical , Possible and local -
Our club badge looks a bit **** but it kinda looks OK in a shield or in a circle border , it is too busy though - look at how Hull FC streamlined their badge (ok it looks like their rivals)
It wouldnt be so bad to lose the Tiger and return to three crowns - but this may be counter intuitive in promoting "the tigers" part of the club name - especially if a compromise is sought
Whereby Allams refer to Hull City as The Tigers everywhere .

Re-branding to the Tigers is just not enough sure it gets Asian market but what about other markets. My extensive market research shows that Zombies are massive with teenage boys of the type who never go outdoors or watch football currently, pale soppy Vampires are super popular with over romantic girls and mummy porn is massive with sexually frustrated with football widows.

So we need a Zombie Vampire Tiger Wielding a Ridding Crop! We'll be MASSIVE :emoticon-0115-inlov
